The unmanned reconnaissance aircraft MQ-9 Reaper will remain stationed at Hato Airport, Curaçao, until September 30 this year. This is done to prepare Air Force personnel for heavier tasks and major operations. The staff continues to work on the operational readiness of the system. It is the second extension.

The MQ-9 Reaper collects data and information from the air. Thanks to the satellite control, the device can be operated worldwide. The system is fully in line with the Ministry of Defense’s desire to operate on the basis of information-driven military action.

Three of the four purchased aircraft are stationed on Curaçao.
