On Saturday, July 01, 2023 and in the context of the planning of the HNDGS regarding the international cooperation of the Armed Forces, a joint training PASSEX (Passing Exercise) of the Fast Patrol Guided Missile (TPC) SIMITZOPOULOS with the German General Support Ship (GSA) FGS RHEIN of the Standing NATO Maritime Group Two (SNMG 2) was conducted in the wider sea area of Lesvos.
During the joint training, objects of communications and training approaches for the transfer of objects were executed, while in the context of the activity, the Commander of SNMG 2 TASK UNIT 01, Captain Thorsten Mathesius, boarded the CUT SIMITZOPOULOS accompanied by the Greek liaison officer of the staff.
This joint training contributed to the promotion of the level of operational readiness, combat capability and cooperation of participants in a bilateral and allied context.
