To carry out international emergency relief operations in the Republic of Indonesia, where severe damage from forest fires has occurred, the Maritime Self-Defense Force transport ship ‘Kunisaki,’ equipped with a Ground Self-Defense Force CH-47 helicopter, arrived today at Indonesia’s Kijin port.
- The CH-47 transport helicopter is scheduled to carry out firefighting operations once it is ready.
- The Ministry of Defense and the Self-Defense Forces will make every effort to support Indonesia to prevent further damage.
