March 10, 2021 (Google Translation) – The crews of the submarines “Kolpino” and “Veliky Novgorod” of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) went to sea to conduct a joint exercise.
The exercise is carried out in accordance with the plan for combat training of the submarine forces of the fleet at sea ranges in the Black Sea.
Before going out to sea, the submariners conducted training in emergency preparation for battle and a campaign, and after leaving the basing points, they worked out a dive to a given depth.
During the exercise, the crew of the Kolpino submarine entered the designated training range from the Sevastopol basing point, and the Veliky Novgorod submarine crew from the Novorossiysk permanent deployment point.
As part of the exercise, the submariners will work out the algorithm of actions to search for the submarine of the imaginary enemy, will take part in joint training with the anti-submarine and sweeping forces of the Black Sea Fleet, and will alternately carry out deep-sea dives with laying on the ground to a depth of more than 200 meters.
The exercise of the Black Sea Fleet submarine forces will last until March 18. Submarines “Kolpino” and “Veliky Novgorod” will return to their bases on the eve of their professional holiday – the Day of the sailor-submariner.
