From September 10 to 23, 2021, the Tripartite Mine Hunter (CMT) Pegasus participated in Exercise Northern Coast 2021 (NOCO 21). This joint multilateral exercise, which took place in the Baltic Sea, brought together naval forces from NATO countries and European partners including Sweden, host nation of the 2021 edition, Germany, Poland, Estonia. , Latvia, Lithuania and Norway.
The exercise scenario took place off Karlskrona, in the southern part of the Baltic Sea and off the islands of Götland and Oland.
The first phase of NOCO 21, from September 13 to 17, included scheduled exercises in established force. The second phase, from September 17 to 23, was devoted to a real-time multi-threat tactical scenario led by an exercise evaluation unit.
The Pegasus thus conducted exercises in tactical evolutions and mine hunting, firing with different calibers on air and surface tracks as well as presentations in refueling at sea. These exercises, which represent a high level training for crew, made it possible to strengthen the interoperability of the French navy with the Allied navies in the Baltic.
