The United Shipbuilding Corporation presented a project 22160 patrol ship, developed by the Northern Design Bureau of USC, at the International Naval Salon “FLEET-2026”.
This is the first Russian ship designed using a modular weapon concept. Part of the weaponry on the ship is mounted during the construction stage and does not change throughout its service life. Areas and volumes are reserved, which can be used for placing additional weaponry during repair or modernization.
The ship is distinguished by high seaworthiness, low visibility, and the ability to base helicopters or unmanned aerial vehicles of various types. The export-oriented version of the ship has a number of advantages over foreign competitors and has powerful universal weaponry, high seaworthiness, the ability to accept and service a helicopter or UAV at a relatively low cost.
