The United Shipbuilding Corporation presented an ultra-small universal submarine of the “Triton-2” type, developed by the USC’s “Malakhit” design bureau, at the International Maritime Defense Show “FLEET-2026”.
The ultra-small submarine is designed to deliver divers and their equipment to areas where underwater technical work is carried out. It can be used in manned or robotic mode to solve various tasks.
The “Triton-2” is capable of transporting a crew of six people with their equipment over a distance of up to 50 miles from the base without the involvement of support ships and vessels. The project includes a stationary breathing system, which works in conjunction with individual breathing apparatuses carried by light divers on board. For the entry and exit of combat swimmers, sliding hatches made of organic glass are located in the upper part of the cabin of the ultra-small submarine.
