PT PAL Indonesia has again strengthened its role as a marine defense industry in the international arena. Still in the series of the International Defense Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) 2023 which was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) UAE, on the second day PT PAL Indonesia signed a strategic partnership with a global partner, namely The Strategic Development Fund (SDF) UAE .
The signing of the strategic collaboration took place at IDEX 2023 and was signed by Abdulla Naser Al Jaabari, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of SDF and Kaharuddin Djenod, Chief Executive Officer of PT PAL Indonesia.
The collaboration between SDF and PT PAL Indonesia is an important momentum for the company’s global development. Kaharuddin Djenod, CEO of PT PAL Indonesia expressed his appreciation “We are pleased with the support provided by the SDF, which will allow us to manage our funding needs to meet the needs of the UAE navy and we are proud that this program will make a major contribution to the UAE maritime industry which continues to grow. continue and to strengthen PT PAL’s technology and capabilities”
He emphasized that the collaboration formed was the main foundation in developing maritime defense technology innovations for Middle Eastern countries as well as the LPD variant product itself. Therefore, this collaboration is expected to increase the existence of PT PAL in the international world. Moreover, PT PAL Indonesia managed to gain the trust of the SDF as an influential financial institution in the Middle East.
Abdulla Naser Al Jaabari, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of SDF added , “The agreement between SDF and PT PAL is the first for an international funding program. Our primary goal is to support PT PAL to add value to the UAE’s maritime and defense technology needs, and support our mandate to leverage funding and investment to create economic impact and diversify strategic industries in the UAE.”
