NRP Tridente departed Lisbon September 25, for a 64-day mission during which it will provide support to FOST (Fleet Operational Standards and Training) and participate in Operation Brilliant Shield.
The Portuguese submarine has a garrison of 38 soldiers and is scheduled to return to Portugal on November 27. During this mission, the NRP Trident is planned to operate in the ports of Plymouth, in the United Kingdom, and Tórshavn, in the Faroe Islands.
