In the 80th Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Anniversary parade at Monas, Jakarta, new defense equipment products, Autonomous Submarines and Torpedoes made by the nation’s children, appeared, adding a new color. The participation of PT PAL Indonesia’s innovative products is side by side with its flagship defense products, as a testament to the trust and pride of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) in domestic defense equipment products.
PT PAL Indonesia CEO Kaharuddin Djenod, a driving force behind innovation, also attended the event. ” With continuous innovation, including underwater technologies like autonomous submarines and torpedo reverse engineering, we want to prove that Indonesian engineers are capable of meeting future challenges while upholding the nation’s honor in the maritime sector ,” said Djenod.
This commitment to innovation is realized through the development of an unmanned Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Autonomous Submarine (KSOT). KSOT is designed as an alternative underwater defense system, becoming a “shield of the archipelago” equipped with surveillance capabilities and detecting enemy or friendly vessels.
PT PAL affirmed its commitment to providing maritime defense solutions that directly benefit the people. “We are not only defense equipment manufacturers, but also strategic partners in maintaining maritime sovereignty and ensuring the public’s sense of security, ” Djenod emphasized.
In addition, KSOT is operated directly through the Autonomous Submarine Command Center (ASCC) using direct radio frequency or satellite which can be integrated with CIC on the headquarters ship, Headquarters or Navy base.
This moment marks a real contribution to the nation’s progress in the maritime defense sector and also adds to the pride in the major celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI).
