KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda-367 (KRI SIM-367), part of the Eskorta Koarmada II Ship Unit in the Maritime Task Force (MTF) mission of the Indonesian Konga XXVIII-P/UNIFIL, arrived in Port Said, Egypt, on Sunday (12/01/2025). The arrival of KRI SIM-367 was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) of the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo, M. Zaim A. Nasution, accompanied by the Indonesian Defense Attaché (Athan) in Cairo, Marine Colonel (P) Dafris D. Syahruddin, Asathan of the Republic of Indonesia Major Mar Aji Purnomo, as well as a number of Indonesian Embassy staff and Indonesian citizens (WNI) in Egypt.

The agenda of the visit began with a brief discussion with the DCM of the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo and his entourage, followed by a ship tour at KRI SIM-367, and closed with a group photo session.

In his remarks, DCM of the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo, M. Zaim A. Nasution, and Athan RI Cairo expressed their hope that KRI SIM-367 which is carrying out a world peace mission through the MTF Task Force of the Indonesian Embassy in Konga XXVIII-P/UNIFIL can carry out its duties smoothly until the mission is completed and returns to the country safely.

The Commander of KRI SIM-367 as well as the Commander of the TNI Konga XXVIII-P/UNIFIL MTF Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel (P) Anugerah Annurullah, explained that during the stopover in Egypt, the activities carried out included replenishment of liquid logistics, technical inspections of ships, and introduction to local culture. “The soldiers will also trace world history by visiting museums and several historical sites in Egypt to gain insight and understanding of world cultural heritage,” said Lieutenant Colonel (P) Anugerah Annurullah.

In a separate place, Commander of the Second Fleet Admiral Ariantyo Condrowibowo advised all soldiers on duty, especially in international missions, to always improve their professionalism and quality by continuing to apply the motto of Koarmada II, namely hard work, smart work, precise work, thorough work, and sincere work.

With this noble mission, it is hoped that KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda-367 can continue to carry out its duties optimally, show the professionalism of the Indonesian Navy, and make a real contribution to world peace.
