KDB DARUTTAQWA celebrated its 11th anniversary with a special evening event attended by officers, members, and former Commanding Officers of the ship. The celebration began with the Sunat Hajat and Asr Prayers at Surau Al-Huda TLDB, followed by the recitation of prayers for blessings and protection. The ceremony then continued at the PTB Kanan TLDB Mess, where the ship’s personnel and former Commanding Officers gathered in a friendly atmosphere.

Among the highlights of the evening was the cake-cutting ceremony with the first Commanding Officer of KDB DARUTTAQWA, who now holds the position of Deputy Commander of the Royal Malaysian Navy, Captain Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, Royal Malaysian Navy, along with the current Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Commander Mohd Aliashim bin Alias, Royal Malaysian Navy. The event was also enlivened by the presentation of souvenirs and a group photo session with the KDB DARUTTAQWA crew.

For over a decade, KDB DARUTTAQWA and her crew have proudly represented the Royal Brunei Navy in various regional engagements, including the ASEAN Multilateral Exercise (AMNEX) in Thailand (2017) and Singapore (2025), the International Fleet Review in the Republic of Korea (2018), the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA’19) in Malaysia (2019), the ASEAN-Russia Naval Exercise (ARNEX) in Indonesia (2021), the ASEAN Multilateral Exercise in the Philippines (2023), as well as the PENGUIN Exercise with the Royal Australian Navy in Brunei (2025).

This celebration not only celebrates the achievements of KDB DARUTTAQWA, but also further strengthens the spirit of camaraderie among officers and members, reflecting the noble values ​​of cooperation, faith and unity which continue to be the cornerstone of its motto: Strength, Honor, and Unity.
