Commander of Lantamal III Jakarta Brigadier General TNI (Mar) Harry Indarto, SE, MM represented by Lieutenant Colonel (P) Joseph Marteen Marpaung, released the departure of the Japanese warship JS Yahagi (FFM-5) after docking for three days at the Pier, Tanjung Priuk, North Jakarta. Thursday (15/5).
During the three days docking in Jakarta, Commander JS Yahagi (FFM-5) Commander Tamura Masayoshi carried out several activities, including a visit to TMPN Kalibata, visiting the Yayasan Warga Persahabatan (YWP), open ships at JS Yahagi (FFM-5), conducting a Courtesy Call to Asops Koarmada RI, and a cocktail party. The Japanese warship JS Yahagi (FFM-5) was then released with a military ceremony which was also attended by other Lantamal III officials.
On a separate occasion, the Lantamal Commander revealed that the visit of JS Yahagi (FFM-5) since several days ago was indeed inseparable from the function of Lantamal. The Lantamal functions include rebase, replenishment, repair, rest and recreation, or what has been known as the 5R term.
“This visit is very important to improve bilateral relations between the two countries, especially the Japanese Navy and the Indonesian Navy,” concluded Danlantamal.
