The Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) continues to distribute logistical equipment needs to remote islands ahead of the 2024 General Election.

For the logistics distribution of this election, the Dabo Singkep Navy Base (Lanal) deployed the Tanjung Buku Marine Security Patrol Ship (Patkamla) to transport the logistics of the Lingga Regency elections starting from the KPU storage warehouse to the Pull Pier which was then taken to KRI Beladau-643 which was docked at Jagoh Pier, Monday (12/02).

KRI Beladau-643 commanded by Lieutenant Colonel (P) Romy Sitorus. S.E., along with personnel from the General Elections Commission (KPU) of Lingga Regency, the General Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) of Lingga Regency, Lingga Police and Koramil 05/Daek personnel brought the election logistics to Pekajang Island.

Danlanal Dabo Singkep, Lieutenant Colonel (P) Tri Hermawan M.A., M.Tr.Opsla., on the sidelines of the activity said that Lanal Dabo Singkep is ready to support the distribution of logistics for the 2024 election to remote islands in Lingga Regency by preparing one unit of Patkamla Tanjung Buku ship and one unit of Sea Rider to succeed in the implementation of simultaneous elections.

On this occasion, Mrs. Jernih Millyati Siregar as the Voter Education Socialization Division (Sosdiklih) and Community Participation (Parmas) of the KPU who is also the Deputy Regional Coordinator of Lingga Regency expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the Navy for their full attention and support in the context of logistics distribution for the 2024 election for the outer areas of Lingga Regency from Jagoh Dabo Singkep port to Pekajang Village which will be taken less over 7 hours drive.

In addition, the Chairman of the KPU Lingga Regency Ardhi Auliya and his ranks expressed their great appreciation and gratitude to the Navy for successfully sending the logistics of 10 ballot boxes and their supporting equipment to 2 polling stations in the southernmost village of Riau Islands with the help of KRI Beladau-643, especially seeing the extreme weather conditions in February.

In a separate place, the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral TNI Dr. Muhammad Ali said that Navy soldiers must take part and be responsible for the success of national activities, one of which is to realize safe and peaceful 2024 elections and ensure that the democratic process runs smoothly.
