In order to improve cooperative relations with friendly countries, Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral TNI Dr. Muhammad Ali carried out a working visit to Turkey on May 13-14, 2025.
On this occasion, Kasal had the opportunity to review the MILGEM I-Class Frigate at the Sedef Shipyard, Istanbul. Furthermore, Kasal reviewed the progress of the construction of 2 units of Indonesia’s Full Combat Mission Missile Fast Ship (KCR) at the Sefine Shipyard.
KCR Full Combat Mission has started First Steel Cutting (FSC) in October 2024, where this ship has an overall length specification of 70 meters with a width of 11.7 meters, a maximum speed of +40 knots, with a crew of 43 personnel.
Equipped with a Combat Management System (CMS) and weaponry such as a 76 mm caliber cannon, a 12.7 mm stabilized automatic machine gun and a Surface to Surface Missile (SSM), it is hoped that in the future these two ships will further support and improve the performance of the implementation of TNI Navy duties.
On this working visit, Kasal also accompanied the Kasal were Koorsahli Kasal Admiral TNI Kris Wibowo, Asrena Kasal Admiral TNI Achmad Wibisono, Askomlek Kasal Admiral TNI Tri Harsono, and Kadissenlekal Admiral TNI Dwi Cahyo Kuncoro.
