KRI dr. Soeharso-990 distributed humanitarian aid weighing 30.19 tons to the disaster-affected communities in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) after anchoring at Port Reo, Kedindi, Wangkung, Kec. Reok, Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Friday (21/8/2026).
The aid was transported using KRI dr. Soeharso-990 commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Laut (R) Ivan Halim, SH, M.Tr. Opsla. This aid is part of the efforts of the government and TNI in supporting the handling of the impact of disasters and meeting the needs of the communities in the affected regions.
Dozens of tons of aid brought cover various community needs and disaster management support covering various contact materials. The presence of this aid is expected to ease the burden of citizens who are facing difficult conditions due to disasters.
The delivery of aid by sea is also an important step to ensure that humanitarian aid can reach the affected regions, especially areas that require large amounts of logistical support.
The activity also shows the commitment of TNI AL in supporting disaster management and helping communities in need.
With the channeling of the 30.19 tons of aid, it is hoped that the basic needs of the people affected by the disaster in NTT can be helped and the post-disaster recovery process can run faster as the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has ordered.
