The Supreme Naval Command of the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) in Northwood UK, MARCOM (Allied Maritime Command), has given the CTF (Commander Task Force) Baltic has been entrusted with its first management and coordination tasks. With the activation of staff on 8 November MARCOM Allied Maritime Command the CTF Commander Task Force Baltic the tactical command of two NATO-Associations in of the Baltic Sea.
Since then, CTF as a coordination and command element between the ships at the tactical level and the operational NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) Management in Great Britain.
During activation from November 8 to December 6, 2024 was CTF for a mine countermeasures unit, the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group One (SNMCMG1) and a surface combat unit, the Standing NATO Maritime Group One (SNMG1).
Both NATO units were first appointed by the staff of the CTF from the Naval Command’s own operations center in Rostock.
