On November 29, 2022, a delegation from the surveillance frigate Prairial , stopping in Valparaiso, took part in the Exponaval exhibition alongside the French Ambassador to Chile, His Excellency Pascal Teixeira Da Silva.

The most important arms fair in Latin America, this event brought together this year the main players in the French naval industry established in Chile, such as Naval Group, Airbus or MBDA, but also innovative companies such as the start-up Unseenlabs, alongside more than 90 international exhibitors.

The only foreign building present in Chile for the show, the presence of Prairial was greatly appreciated by the organizers. Vice-Admiral Pablo Niemann, responsible for the Armada’s armament programs, thus greeted, before an assembly made up of ambassadors and civil and military authorities, 14 international delegations as well as the Under-Secretary of State for defense, representing the Chilean Minister of Defence, the commitment of the French Navy to Franco-Chilean cooperation.

Present on the various French stands alongside the French ambassador, the delegation of the Prairial surveillance frigate thus participated in the influence of the French military and naval industry in Latin America, an industry particularly recognized in advanced technologies and a player key to area marine interoperability.
