From October 18 to 22, a La Fayette-class frigate (FLF) participated in the Eunomia 2026 exercise, organized off the coast of Cyprus as part of the Quad Medor cooperation initiative.

Alongside Greek, Cypriot and Italian vessels, the FLF took part in a series of exercises designed to strengthen interoperability and links with its allies in the region: anti-ship warfare, anti-air defense, anti-submarine and asymmetric warfare, cross decks, search for shipwrecked persons and maneuvers in a formed task force followed one another.

The French sailors also conducted boarding operations training with the Cypriot patrol boat Ioannides.

The exercise concluded with a Distinguished Visitors Day, held at sea aboard the Italian frigate Rizzo. This event took place in the presence of the Cypriot Minister of Defense, the ambassadors of Greece, France, and Italy to Cyprus, as well as military authorities, including Rear Admiral Mackara Ouk, Deputy Commander of the Mediterranean Maritime Zone. The scenario notably included a visit exercise conducted by a Cypriot boarding team and special forces aboard the French frigate.
