Today took place in Concarneau (France) the flag transfer ceremony of Contre-Amiral Fadika. This patrol boat owes its name to Rear-Admiral Lamine FADIKA who was the first Ivorian officer in the French Navy in July 1967, after his admission in 1964 to the entrance examination for the Naval School of Brest. Appointed commander of the French Navy in 1970, he was promoted to rear-admiral in March 1993.

The delivery of this building comes following the signing by the Ministry of Defense of Côte d’Ivoire of a contract for the acquisition of a P400 offshore patrol vessel for the Ivorian Navy. The overhaul of this patrol vessel was carried out by the subsidiary PIRIOU NAVAL SERVICES (PNS) with the support of the KERSHIP teams. This contract also includes a training session for the crew to get to grips with the vessel in Concarneau before its departure, as well as a maintenance in operational condition contract for a period of two years.
