The Philippine Fleet (PF)’s Sealift Amphibious Force (SAF) held a send-off ceremony for the officers and crew onboard the BRP Dagupan City LS551 at Captain Moya Boat Landing, Naval Base Cavite on August 5.
SAF Commander, Commo. Socrates Daza, oversaw the ceremony deploying LS551 to conduct naval operations in various operational areas in Visayas and Palawan now that it has completed its Dry Docking and Other Related Repairs (DDORR).
This deployment is an integral part of the Navy’s conduct of maritime patrol operations, internal security operations and logistics support missions to the respective areas of responsibility in the maritime waters of the Philippine archipelago.
