At the Iquitos Naval Base, the Commander General of the Navy, Admiral Javier Bravo de Rueda Delgado, presided over the commemorative events for the 50th anniversary of the B.A.P. “Río Yaguas” and the 30th anniversary of Special Operations Group No. 3, a unit and branch that represent the commitment, operational capacity, and dedication to service of the Peruvian Navy in the Amazon.
During the ceremony, the professionalism and dedication of their crews were highlighted, who over the years have contributed to the successful completion of assigned operations and the strengthening of the institutional presence in the Amazon region.
The event was attended by the Commander General of Amazon Operations, Vice Admiral Percy Pérez Bramosio; the Commander of the Fifth Naval Zone, Rear Admiral César Tello Berenstein; as well as current crews and former commanders of both units, in recognition of their dedication, leadership, and unwavering service to the country.
As part of his visit to the Fifth Naval Zone, the Commander General of the Navy inspected various facilities, verifying the readiness of personnel and operational capabilities, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to strengthening the units deployed in the Peruvian Amazon.
