Within the framework of the training and interoperability activities prior to the RIMPAC 2026 Multinational Exercise, the B.A.P. “PISCO” participated in a tactical photography exercise (PHOTOEX) together with the naval units that make up Group Sail, during its navigation between San Diego and Hawaii, United States of America.
The activity included the execution of various naval formations and maneuvers at sea, allowing to strengthen tactical coordination, the maintenance of positions and the capacity for joint operation among the participating units. This type of training contributes to consolidating interoperability procedures and the level of readiness required for the development of highly demanding multinational operations.
The PHOTOEX is part of a series of exercises scheduled during transit to Hawaii, including maritime interdiction operations, boarding, air control, firing exercises, force protection and tactical maneuvers. In this way, the Peruvian Navy, the largest in the South Pacific, continues to strengthen its operational capabilities and project its professionalism together with the main navies of the world, towards its participation in RIMPAC 2026.
