The Ecuadorian Navy held a welcoming ceremony for BAP Paita multipurpose support ship in the port of Manta October 21st, on its participation in the multinational exercise SOLIDAREX V 2026.
This naval unit has capabilities for the transport of personnel, vehicles, equipment, and supplies, as well as for supporting amphibious operations, humanitarian assistance missions, and disaster response.
The participation of Paita strengthens the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Ecuador and Peru, promoting the exchange of experiences, joint training, and coordination of naval capabilities in emergency situations.
With these actions, the Ecuadorian Navy reaffirms its commitment to regional integration and operational preparedness, contributing to the development of joint response capabilities to protect and assist populations affected by emergencies and disasters.
