The Armed Forces, through the Ecuador Navy, continue humanitarian support operations in response to the flooding recorded on Santa Cruz Island, by transferring personnel, equipment, and supplies intended to strengthen assistance for the affected families.
The coast guard boat “Isla San Cristóbal”, with a crew of approximately 40 PMP, is carrying out the transfer from Baltra to Santa Cruz, transporting bilge pumps, hoses, mattresses, blankets, medicines, and provisions.
These resources will help reinforce response efforts to the flooding, facilitate the evacuation of accumulated water, and contribute to assistance for the affected communities, in coordination with the competent authorities.
Through these actions, the Ecuador Navy reaffirms its commitment to put its operational and logistical capabilities at the service of the citizenry, contributing to emergency response and the well-being of the Galapagos population.
