KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda-367 (KRI SIM-367), an element of the Maritime Task Force (MTF) TNI Congo XXVIII-P/UNIFIL, is again carving out a performance in the world peace mission. This time, KRI SIM-367 successfully held a Winch Exercise (Winchex) together with the Lebanese Air Force (Lebanese Armed Forces Air Force/LAF-AF) in the Area of Maritime Operation (AMO) Mediterranean Waters, Lebanon, Wednesday (12/11/2025) yesterday.
In the exercise, the Puma SA 330 helicopter from the 9th Squadron LAF Air Force with the callsign Dragon maneuvered on the helideck of KRI SIM-367 to perform the Winch Exercise. Meanwhile, the TNI AL’s US 565 MBe Panther HS-1306 heli manned by Capt Pilot Captain Laut (P) Ardy Agustinus Paath and Copilot Captain Laut (P/W) Andi Quita Watuffahati, carried out Photo Exercise (Photex) from the air.
Commander of KRI SIM-367 as well as Dansatgas MTF Congo XXVIII-P/UNIFIL, Lieutenant Colonel Laut (P) Anugerah Annarullah, conveyed that this exercise is part of the mandate of the UN Security Council resolution carried by elements of MTF UNIFIL, which is to provide training to LAF soldiers. In addition, this activity is also a means of strengthening the bilateral relationship between the TNI AL and the LAF which has been closely intertwined since the first mission in 2009.
The appointment of KRI SIM-367 in this activity is a form of trust in the professionalism of the TNI in carrying out international mission duties. This also reflects the real implementation of the vision of the TNI Commander “PRIMA”, where one of the main pillars is to make the TNI a professional force in all fields of duty.
On a separate occasion, the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) TNI Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali is very appreciative of the achievements achieved by the Congo TNI XXVIII-P/ UNIFIL MTF Task Force and always conveys to all Jalasena soldiers who are carrying out a world peace mission to always give their best in every task entrusted to them, as well as maintain the good name of the TNI AL, the nation and the country so that it remains in the international world.
