On Friday, October 3, 2025, the large-scale National Joint Exercise “PARMENION – 25” was completed, which was held in the entire Area of Responsibility of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff from Friday, September 26, 2025, with the full participation of means and personnel of the 3 Branches of the Armed Forces (ED) and the Special Warfare Command (DEP).
The exercise, which was designed and executed under the direction of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, aimed to examine and test the operational planning and contributed to the training of the personnel of the Armed Forces in the areas of planning, coordination and conduct of Joint Operations.
At the same time, interoperability was sought with the involved bodies of the Security Forces and the Civilian sector, in the context of testing and evaluation of the People’s Defense Alarm System – Civil Emergency Planning of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (SS/PAM-PSEA/HNDGS) and the operational planning of the PAM – PSEA.
The whole activity was the basis for the practice of the Crisis Management System (CSS) procedures and the synchronization of operations between all the exercised Major Commands, in the context of the New Force Structure of the Armed Forces.
