KRI John Lie-358 officially departed from Pier 102 Belawan, North Sumatra, to India to participate in the Samudera Shakti-25 Joint Exercise. The exercise, which is planned to be held from 14 to 17 October 2025, is a concrete manifestation of defense cooperation between the Indonesian Navy and the Indian Navy in strengthening maritime diplomacy between the two navies. Wednesday (8/10/2025).

This activity also became an important momentum for KRI John Lie-358 soldiers, to hone their combat skills, professionalism, and readiness in carrying out maritime operations. Through this joint exercise, it is hoped that bilateral relations and strategic cooperation between Indonesia and India in the field of maritime defense will become more solid.

In this Joint Exercise, In addition to KRI John Lie-358, the Indonesian Navy also sent Helly HS-1311. There, the two countries will hold a Harbor Phase phase in the form of Subject Matter Expert Exchange and Ship Interaction. Meanwhile, in the Sea Phase, KRI Jhon Lie-358 and INS Karavati as well as several elements of Indian warships will carry out joint patrols and several exercises at sea.
