The Magadan is the third submarine of the series for the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Federation. It was launched on 26 March 2021 in high readiness (91%).
The construction of a series of submarines for the Pacific Fleet is in accordance with contractual obligations. The third boat of the series (Magadan) will be transferred to the Russian Navy in November this year. The Ufa spacecraft is scheduled to launch by the end of 2021.
The contract for the construction of the series was signed in September 2016. The first ship, the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, was handed over to the Russian Navy on November 25, 2019. The Submarine Volkhov, the second in a series, entered the Pacific Fleet on October 24, 2020.
