Towards the end of the Sea Phase, KRI Raden Eddy Martadinata – 331 (KRI REM-331) led by Dansatgas Latma Rimpac 2024 Navy Colonel (P) Adam Tjahja S. along with dozens of countries that joined the Rim Of The Pacific (Rimpac) Multilateral Joint Exercise successfully completed the exercise and succeeded in guarding the international sea by showing their gallantry in carrying out joint sailing in the Pacific Ocean.
KRI REM-331 along with 40 surface ships, three submarines, consisting of 29 participating countries from all over the world appeared gallant when guarding the open seas, in this case the Pacific Ocean. In the Sea Phase stage, KRI REM-331 has carried out various series of exercises starting from Naval Surface Firing Support (NSFS) or Ship Assistance Fire and Photoex from US Helicopters. The Navy
Rimpac Exercise which is held every two years is the largest international maritime exercise in the world. The exercise aims to build relationships and skills that promote accessibility, safety, and security on the high seas.
The plan is that KRI REM-331 will return to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, United States, before carrying out the closing of the exercise and returning to the homeland which will take approximately 25 days of sailing. Thus, KRI REM-331 has proven capable of carrying out diplomatic duties and roles to maintain world security.
The implementation of this activity is an implementation of the Chief of Staff of the Navy (Kasal) Admiral TNI Dr. Muhammad Ali who emphasized that every Jalasena Samudera Soldier must be able to carry out their diplomatic role in the international arena.
