The World Port Days will take place this year on 6, 7 and 8 September. During these days, visitors will have the unique opportunity to get to know the Royal Navy up close. Enjoy special ships, exciting excursions and lots of spectacle with shows on the water.
Visit HNLMS Johan de Witt or HNLMS Schiedam. During tours, crew members will explain the various functions and technologies on board.
On the Parkkade is the marine village with various vehicles, an obstacle course and various stands. Go on a discovery in a VR container, or get started with a hydraulic crane.
Demonstrations
On the Maas, the navy will give spectacular demonstrations. For example, an anti-terror demonstration is on the program and a hijacked ship will be freed by marines. Furthermore, an NH90 maritime helicopter will fly low over the water to launch practice torpedoes.
Working in the Navy
During the World Port Days, a special team will be present to inform interested parties about career opportunities within the Royal Navy.
