Two Royal Brunei Navy (TLDB) SHIPS, KDB DARULAMAN and KDB BERKAT, departed recently for Sepanggar, Kota Kinabalu to participate in the HORNBILL 30/25 Bilateral Exercise with the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) which will take place from 19 to 24 October 2025 with the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN).

Present for the Departure Ceremony of the ships was Captain Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Deputy Ruler of TLDB who is also the Acting Commander of the TLDB Fleet. Also present during the ceremony were the TLDB Executive Board, Senior Officers, Officers and Members of TLDB as well as family members who were present to provide support and prayers for the crew involved in this assignment.

The HORNBILL Bilateral Exercise is a significant exercise in strengthening the defence relationship and maritime operational cooperation between TLDB and TLDM. Through these exercises, the two navies will be able to enhance interoperability and mutual understanding capabilities in conducting maritime operations. It also reflects the close ties and strong friendship that has been established for a long time between the two neighbouring countries, Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia.
