The Indonesian Navy, in this case Lantamal III Jakarta, provided security support and facilities for Pakistan Foreign Warships PNS Shamsheer (F252) and PNS NASR (A47) at Pier 106 JITC II Port of Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta Wednesday (23/11/2022) .
The arrival of the Pakistan Warships was warmly welcomed at an official ceremony chaired by the Commander of the Indonesian Navy Main Base (Lantamal) III Jakarta Brigadier General (Mar) Umar Farouq, SAP, CHRMP., M.Tr.Opsla. M. Han. accompanied by Deputy Danlantamal III Marine Colonel (P) Heri Prihartanto, Asintel Danlantamal III, Aslog Danlantamal III and Dansatrol Lantamal III.
In securing the anchorage and facilities, Jakarta Lantamal III deployed several related elements including the Merploeqh Dissyahal Lantamal III team, open security Pomal Lantamal III, closed security Lantamal III Intel Team, Yonmarhanlan III troop security and sea security by Satrol Lantamal III.
All of these security elements are interrelated for the smooth running of supporting the security of foreign ships that rely on the working area of Lantamal III, of course by implementing the procedures and provisions that apply in the Indonesian Navy with international standards.
In his remarks Danlantamal III said that this visit was very important to improve bilateral relations between the two countries, especially the Pakistan Islamic Republic Navy and the Indonesian Navy in various fields of cooperation. During the four days in Indonesia, there were several activities coordinated by the TNI AL with the Defense Attache of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, including courtesy visits, joint sports, visits to ships, Tour Facilities, Dinner and recreation for fellow Islamic Republic Navy crews Pakistan.
After the entire series of implementation of the welcoming ceremony was over, the Pakistani delegation moved to the Indonesian Military Command to carry out a courtesy visit to the Indonesian Armed Forces Commander and Pangkolinlamil.
Also present were Mission Commander Commodore Faisal Javeed Sheikh, SI(M), S.Bt., CO PNS Shamsheer, Captain Muhammad Fayaz, TI (M)., Athan Pakistan, Colonel Waqas Mahmood.
Under the leadership of Admiral TNI Yudo Margono, this security support and anchoring facilities are aimed at increasing cooperation between navies, both bilateral and multilateral. This illustrates the importance of naval cooperation with friendly countries to maintain regional security stability and build international trust in the Indonesian Navy.
