The 44th Chinese naval escort taskforce arrived in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on October 30, for a five-day goodwill visit.

Guided by an Emirati frigate, warships of the Chinese taskforce including ship Zibo, ship Jingzhou and ship Qiandaohu docked at Port Zayed at around 9:00 in the morning. 

They were welcomed by more than 600 people including the UAE Navy Deputy Commander Brig. General Abdullah, representatives of the UAE military, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE Zhang Yiming, and staff of the Chinese Embassy. After that, participants in the ceremony boarded and visited the Chinese naval ships in batches.

During the visit, the two sides will call on each other and hold deck reception, mutual visits and other exchange activities.
