Triumph Wins Huntington Ingalls Industries Contract for U.S. Navy Carrier Overhaul

October 31, 2018 – Triumph Group, Inc. announced today that its Integrated Systems business has been selected by Huntington Ingalls Industries to supply remote valve actuation (RMVA) systems as part of the scheduled overhaul of the USS George Washington (CVN 73) nuclear powered aircraft carrier. Under terms of the agreement, Triumph’s Mechanical Solutions facility in Shelbyville, Indiana will produce 165 RMVAs for the carrier. September 21, 2018 – Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Newport News Shipbuilding division has completed approximately 25 percent of the refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH) work aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) following the recent landing of its modernized radar tower.
