July 12, 2019 – Optimizing ship operations with digital services: ULSTEIN and SCHOTTEL announce today that they will start cooperating to take the next step in automation and digitaliztion within marine operations. The former ULSTEIN subsidiary, Ulstein Blue CTRL, will continue as an independent company under the name Blue CTRL. Both Ulstein and SCHOTTEL will own 50 per cent of the shares in the company. Four new US Navy tugs propelled by SCHOTTEL

November 1, 2018 – The US Navy has ordered four newly designed yard tugs from Washington-based Dakota Creek Industries. Each of the ASD tugs will be equipped with two SCHOTTEL Rudderpropellers. The azimuth thrusters are provided with the DNV-GL-certified LEACON sealing system as well as SCHOTTEL ProAnode integrated into a high-efficiency nozzle.
