First Saudi MH60-R Arrives at NAS Mayport

October 3, 2018 – The first of several MH60-R Seahawk helicopters purchased by the Royal Saudi Arabian Navy arrived at Naval Station Mayport Oct. 2, 2018. The helicopters are part of a training program for Saudi pilots and crew that is expected to last for the next three years. “This is an exciting day!” said Lt. Cmdr. Birdies soar to new heights in Florida

Two Royal Australian Navy Officers have received promotions in rank while on overseas posting to Naval Air Station Mayport in Florida. Aviation Warfare Officers Michael Grant and Grant Rushford are currently posted to United States Navy Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 40 and were both promoted to the rank of Lieutenant at a ceremony in Florida. NAVSTA Mayport Named East Coast Base for MQ-4C Triton UAS

February 16, 2017 – The U.S. Navy has selected Naval Station (NS) Mayport in Florida as the East Coast Forward Operating Base (FOB) for the MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), Feb. 15, 2017. Mayport will be a permanent duty station for about 400 Triton UAS personnel and will support rotational deployments outside the continental United States.
