Australia commits to next Triton remotely piloted aircraft

March 27, 2019 – The Minister for Defence, the Hon Christopher Pyne MP, and the Minister for Defence Industry, Senator the Hon Linda Reynolds CSC, today announced that the Government will purchase the next MQ-4C Triton Remotely Piloted Aircraft. U.S. Navy, Australia sign agreement for Triton UAS

The Australian government signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the U.S. Navy June 25, to purchase up to six MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Air Systems (UAS). The MOU outlines the cooperative agreement between the two countries which will allow Australia to influence future design and development of the program.
