HMAS Anzac in Exercise KOMODO 2018

HMAS Anzac has joined participants from 36 other nations off the coast of Lombok, Indonesia while in the region as part of their South East Asia deployment. Anzac was one of 49 warships at anchor for a Fleet Inspection to mark the opening of Multilateral Naval Exercise KOMODO 2018. At the Fleet Inspection, ship’s company lined the decks in ceremonial uniform and ‘cheered ship’ as the ‘Admiral’s Ship’ sailed past. Reflections on Timor Leste

HMA Ships Toowoomba and Adelaide recently joined HMAS Darwin off the Timor Leste capital of Dili on the 18th anniversary of the Royal Australian Navy Task Force arrival for Operation INTERFET in 1999. All three ships are currently deployed as part of Indo-Pacific Endeavour, an Australian Defence Force Joint Task Group focused on security cooperation and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief exercises.
