U.S. Navy, Australia sign agreement for Triton UAS

The Australian government signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the U.S. Navy June 25, to purchase up to six MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Air Systems (UAS). The MOU outlines the cooperative agreement between the two countries which will allow Australia to influence future design and development of the program. NAVSTA Mayport Named East Coast Base for MQ-4C Triton UAS

February 16, 2017 – The U.S. Navy has selected Naval Station (NS) Mayport in Florida as the East Coast Forward Operating Base (FOB) for the MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), Feb. 15, 2017. Mayport will be a permanent duty station for about 400 Triton UAS personnel and will support rotational deployments outside the continental United States.
