Commander of the Naval Regional Command (Dankodaeral) III First Admiral TNI Uki Prasetia, ST, MM represented by the Assistant Operations (Asops) Dankodaeral III, Navy Colonel (P) Yovan Ardhianto Yusuf, SE, M.Tr.Opsla. welcomed the arrival of the Singapore Navy ship MV Mentor. This activity took place at Pier 107, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Sunday (09/11/2025).

In the welcoming ceremony, Asops Dankodaeral III who was also accompanied by Aster, Asrena and Naval Attache Singapore, SLTC Eric Goh, draped typical Kalimantan beads to the Commanding Officer Civil Resource TRG Unit (CRTU), LTC Toh Guanhong. The event which took place simply but full of intimacy, was also enlivened by a welcoming dance, namely the Merak Dance.

The MV Mentor is a multi-purpose training ship, which was inaugurated in May 2024. With a length of 193 meters, a width of 26 m, a displacement of around 23,235 tons, this ship has a maximum speed of 21 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.

On a separate occasion, the Dankodaeral III said that this visit, in addition to improving bilateral relations between the Indonesian government and Singapore, also strengthened the spirit of Navy Brotherhood and strengthened cooperation, especially between the Royal Singapore Navy and the Indonesian Navy.

The Commander also said, “The arrival of the MV Mentor ship was also carried out in the context of a courtesy call and open ship with Singaporean citizens in Jakarta. In addition, they will also carry out other activities that have been coordinated by the Singapore Embassy with the Indonesian Navy,” said Rear Admiral Uki.
