Through the commitment of a vast set of resources from the Naval Component of the Forces System, namely command and control, patrol and inspection, and force projection capabilities, it was possible to intercept a semi-submersible vessel, more than 1,830 nautical miles (equivalent to approximately 3,000 kilometers) from Lisbon.
This operation demonstrates, once again, the efficiency and effectiveness of the interdepartmental coordination that exists in the area of combating drug trafficking in maritime spaces.
