On 21st September 2023, the Royal Navy and the US Air Force work together to complete ‘Deck Landing Training’ (DLT) on HMS Queen Elizabeth during her autumn deployment to the Baltic region. A US Air Force Osprey from RAF Mildenhall, Norfolk, practices take offs and landings to maintain this competency, the two NATO Nations working together, displaying interoperability. On her deployment, HMS Queen Elizabeth will work with NATO and Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) nations - ten like-minded countries comprising Norway, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Sweden, dedicated to stability and security in the Baltic region.
