In accordance with relevant plan of international military cooperation, the PLA Naval Submarine Academy is hosting the “Deep Sea Warrior” international seamanship competition and international midshipmen exchange week activities in Qingdao from October 16 to 21.
Midshipmen from eight countries, together with representatives of overseas cadets studying at China’s naval academies and their Chinese counterparts, are taking part in the activities.
The seamanship competition is being held at Qingdao International Sailing Center and nearby waters, primarily featuring sailing skills race, maritime obstacle relay race, maritime lifesaving race, team triathlon, and other competitive events.
The exchange week, on the theme of “Joining Hands to Build a Maritime Community with a Shared Future, and Making the Blue Ocean More Peaceful and Prosperous in Our Era”, includes academic exchanges and seminars, visits to naval venues, midshipmen club activities, friendly sports competitions, among others.
