In the presence of the Deputy Inspector General, Lieutenant General Andreas Hoppe, we successfully laid down the keel of the first fleet service boat today.
Vice Admiral Thomas Daum, Inspector of the Cyber and Information Space (CIR), spoke on the sidelines of the festive event on the Wolgast Peene-Werft GmbH & Co. KG of highly effective, indispensable strategic reconnaissance means for war-ready armed forces.
Vice Admiral Jan Christian Kaack, Inspector of the Navy, also emphasized the importance of the future units: “For the German Navy, the new fleet service boats will be an absolutely valuable gain in capabilities and we look forward to being able to use them shoulder to shoulder with our comrades from the CIR.”
In his speech, our CEO Tim Wagner praised the commitment of all project participants to achieve the milestone in this challenging project. “Now we have to keep up the pace in the construction phase together with our customer and all partners.”
