The training took place for three weeks and exercises were carried out in the area of damage limitation, safety in sea life and maritime operations.
The last day of training and evaluation had the collaboration of NRP Hidra who participated in several series. On board the NRP Orion, the Naval Commander, Vice Admiral Nuno Chaves Ferreira, accompanied this day and at the end, praised the work developed by the garrison that maintains the high standards of performance in fulfilling the Navy’s mission.
The ship now integrates the Standard Naval Device in the Southern Maritime Zone .
The NRP Orion has a garrison of 8 elements and is commanded by First Lieutenant Fernandes Cabo.
