The NRP Corte-Real ended September 7th the monitoring and monitoring, carried out during the last two days, of the ships of the Russian Federation frigate FFGH Admiral Gorshkov, of the Gorshkov class and the oil tanker AORL Vyasma, which sailed in transit off the Portuguese mainland coast.
The monitoring of Russian naval units stems from the defense of national interests and the exercise of state authority at sea, and is a procedure that represents a contribution to world security, also demonstrating Portugal’s commitment to the Alliance’s collective effort to maintain maritime situational awareness.
