During the mission, the ship will carry out tasks within the scope of maritime search and rescue, control and supervision of economic activity in space under national jurisdiction, control and safety of navigation, prevention and combat of maritime pollution and actions to combat activities related to drug trafficking or other illicit activities, as well as actions resulting from the promulgation of the state of siege or emergency and humanitarian support following a natural disaster, playing an important role in supporting Civil Protection in the Azores.
The ocean patrol vessel Figueira da Foz returns to the Maritime Zone of the Azores to surrender the corvette Antonio Enes that completed about 5 months of mission, with a high state of readiness and availability.
The NRP Figueirada Foz is commanded by Lieutenant Flávio Pereira Eusébio and has a garrison of 47 elements.
