The Indonesian Navy in collaboration with Bank Indonesia (BI) carries out Mobile Cash activities in the Front, Outermost and Remote Islands (3T) in South Sulawesi Province with the theme “3T Mobile Cash”.
The 3T Mobile Cash release activity was led by the Commander of Lantamal VI (Danlantamal VI) Makassar, First Admiral of the TNI Ivan Gatot Prijanto, S. E., M. Tr. Opsla accompanied by Deputy Representative of Bank Indonesia South Sulawesi Mr. Rudy Bambang Wijanarko at the Mako Lantamal VI Layang pier, Wednesday (18/10/2023).
Danlantamal VI said that the common interests between BI and the Navy in maintaining sovereignty and supporting national development are regarding the distribution, security, and escort of rupiah banknotes from BI representatives to all border, frontier, outermost and remote areas in the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.
The voyage departing from Lantamal VI using KRI Sampari-628 brought BI’s mobile cash team from Makassar and successively headed to Dewakkang Lompo island, Badi island, Sarappo Lompo island, Sama Tellu island, Saugi island and returned to Makassar.
Meanwhile, BI South Sulawesi Deputy Representative said that this activity is a State mandate in order to maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia by means of Rupiah, namely circulating Rupiah currency in a condition fit for circulation and attracting money not fit for circulation in the community. In addition, it introduces and brings the public closer to Rupiah currency.
