Naval ships from Romania and Croatia have just completed a Focused Operation (FOCOPS), part of Operation Sea Guardian, under NATO MARCOM between 11 Sept – 8 Oct 2025. The Task Group’s ROS Regina Maria and HRMV Vukovar contributed to regional security through counter-terrorism efforts, maritime traffic monitoring, and information gathering aimed at strengthening the Recognized Maritime Picture.
Port visits to Tunis and Algiers provided key opportunities to reinforce NATO’s partnership with Tunisia and Algeria, valued members of the Mediterranean Dialogue.
ROS Regina Maria conducted a PASSEX with the Algerian Navy’s El Moundjid, improving interoperability and cooperation through ship-handling, communication drills, and helicopter flight operations.
By mission’s end, the group completed nearly 300 hailings and 100 broadcasts, contributing to safety, stability, and cooperation at sea.
